“I created this design as a Valentine’s Day surprise for my partner, Mike Schjang, Jr. Mike from the Hope people is from the Bear Clan. My granny gave him the name thláqvas nán which means Copper Grizzly Bear. The design is inspired by the Northern style cedar and Chilkat weavings. I am romantic at heart, and Mike means the world to me. He is our protector, our family, and our rock.” ~ Vina Brown
